Pointe Jerome
Mauritius
MPP will be developing this peninsula of approximately 20 acres located on the south east coast of Mauritius. Pointe Jerome affords panoramic views of Montagne Lion and the Bambous Ridge, the natural reserve of Isle aux Aigrettes and various other islands of the reef including Isle de la Passe.
From Pointe Jerome one accesses the largest area of lagoon in Mauritius with many attractive locations such as the Marine Park at Blue Bay only a short boat ride away. Ile-aux-Cerfs and Grande Rivire south east and its waterfalls can also be reached by sail or motor boat.
The area resonates with history: Mahébourg, the old capital, its celebrated naval museum, the ruins of Grand Port and its 17th Century Dutch tower, the French battery at Pointe du Diable and the bay itself, now the venue for traditional sailing regattas but in 1810 the scene of Napoleon's only victory over the Royal Navy.
